Yegong Loves Dragons

从前，有一个名叫叶公的人，他非常喜欢龙。叶公不仅自己喜欢，还要让所有人知道他喜欢龙。他家的大门上刻着龙的浮雕，窗户上画着龙的图案，墙壁上挂满了龙的画卷，就连家具上也刻满了各种各样的龙，走到哪儿都跟别人炫耀自己对龙的喜爱。

Once upon a time, there was a man named Yegong who loved dragons very much. Not only did he love dragons himself, but he also wanted everyone to know about his passion. His home's main gate was carved with dragon reliefs, the windows were painted with dragon designs, the walls were covered with dragon paintings, and even the furniture was engraved with various dragons. Wherever he went, he would boast about his love for dragons.

叶公对龙的喜爱深深地打动了天上的真龙。有一天，真龙决定来看望这个最忠实的粉丝。于是，真龙从云端飞下来，巨大的身体遮天蔽日。真龙来到叶公的家，探进头来，龙须轻轻拂动，龙眼炯炯有神，龙鳞在阳光下闪闪发光。

Yegong's deep affection for dragons moved a real dragon in the heavens. One day, the real dragon decided to visit this most faithful fan. So, the dragon descended from the clouds, its enormous body blocking out the sun. The dragon approached Yegong's home, its head peeking in, whiskers gently swaying, eyes shining brightly, and scales glistening in the sunlight.

叶公正在院子里悠闲地喝茶，忽然看到真龙出现在自己面前，吓得茶杯掉在地上。他的脸一下子变得苍白，心脏狂跳不已。叶公大叫一声，转身就跑，连鞋子都跑掉了一只。他冲进屋里，关上门，躲在角落里瑟瑟发抖。

Yegong was leisurely drinking tea in his courtyard when he suddenly saw the real dragon appear before him. He was so terrified that he dropped his teacup. His face turned pale, and his heart raced. Yegong screamed, turned around, and ran, losing a shoe in his haste. He rushed into his house, shut the door, and cowered in a corner, trembling.

真龙看着吓得惊慌失措的叶公，无奈地摇了摇头，飞回了天上。从此以后，叶公再也不敢对别人炫耀自己喜欢龙了。

The real dragon looked at the frightened Yegong, shook its head in disappointment, and flew back to the sky. From then on, Yegong never dared to brag about his love for dragons again.

这个故事告诉我们，有些人表面上喜欢某样东西，但当真正面对它时，却没有勇气去接受。喜欢不只是嘴上说说，更需要心里的勇气和真正的行动。

This story teaches us that some people appear to love something, but when faced with the real thing, they lack the courage to embrace it. True love requires not just words, but also the courage and genuine action from the heart.
